Authentication

PSMA uses two forms of Authenticatication, both make use of an Consumer Key

Predictive AV API Authentication

To authenticate a request to the Predictive AV API add a header of the format described below:

API-Key: <<Consumer Key>>

For example, if your API Key is 123, you would add a request header:

API-Key: 123abc456efg789hij

Bundled Plan API Authentication

To authenticate a request to any of the bundled Plan APIs add a header of the format described below:

Authorization: <<Consumer Key>>

For example, if your API secret is 123, you would add a request header:

API-Key: 123abc456efg789hij

Finding your API Consumer Key

You can find the API Consumer Key assigned to you in your account >> My Keys Page. You can also make more keys by using the Add Key Page

Keep this consumer key secret! Do not check it into source control or other potentially public locations.

Using the interactive API documentation

When using the interactive api documentation this can be achieved by clicking the “Add Authorization” button which is displayed in the body of each resource, entering your consumer key in the value field and clicking Authorize button.
